Carol A. Thompson
Carol A. Thompson is a client-oriented, results-focused litigator with a proven track record of success. Her broad experience as a federal prosecutor, defense counsel, and victims’ counsel, and her representation of federal employees, contractors, contracting companies, and military members have given her a unique perspective that allows her to represent clients in many venues (federal and state, judicial and administrative) in matters involving a broad range of issues.
Carol, who has been described as a “bulldog” in the court room, brings this vast experience to Ashbrook Byrne Kresge Flowers LLC. Clients appreciate her compassionate, detail-oriented approach, providing individualized attention to each client. Her outstanding representation has earned her recognition by Super Lawyers as a rising star three years in a row.
Carol earned her B.A. from Texas A&M University and her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she focused on international and comparative law. She later completed her Master of Studies in Law in Government Contracting and Procurement at the University of Dayton School of Law. Before joining private practice, she served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Carol and her husband live in Southwestern Ohio with their three children.
