Today, ABKF filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of Professor Richard A. Epstein. The brief was submitted in Trump v. Barbara, which asks whether the Citizenship Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment confers automatic citizenship on children born in the United States to illegal-alien parents. Drawing on Professor Epstein’s important and original research on the Citizenship Clause, the brief argues that such children do not automatically acquire citizenship at birth.
